It would be good to have similar event in North America (Canadians and Americans) somewhere close to the border.

I would personally recommend it. Unlike chess where connoisseurs prefers juicy and thick and little raw games, go for well-done SRC game. It is simply excellent! The flavour is rich and delicate and the game tastes really good.

I've seen some beautiful tournaments, but this one was new to me. Beautiful!

About SRC (Recent History)

Plenty has been written about the early history of SRC however in recent times the game suffered from a bad sigma occurring and
lasting during the Victorian era. During the early 1800’s both Standard Chess and SRC were played with equal popularity by the players
at clubs. However the popularity of SRC fell sharply when it became out of favour due to an assassination attempt on Queen Victoria in the
year 1840 by an eighteen year old named Edward Oxford. Oxford fired twice, but both bullets missing and he was tried for high treason, (a
sentence carrying the death penalty). The young man was later acquitted on grounds of insanity. Which, at that time was believed and
reported as being caused from playing too much SRC. Oxford a keen SRC player, had only the previous week before, lost the Birmingham
Championship in the last round due to a small oversight of some rules which cost him the trophy and ultimately his sanity.

The disfavour of SRC by Victoria, allowed Standard Chess to get a firm grasp on the ownership of the pieces, which today are still mostly
only associate with Standard Chess. However the SRC movement survived underground, in concealed societies run by musicians, painters,
dramatists, poets and other such creative intellectuals. Who commonly used the practise of setting the board up with a white square at
A1 as a secret means of identifying each other. Like the sigma many of these secret organisations are believed to no longer exist today.
Yet evidence of their existence, is continually suggested in films with boards placed incorrectly, perhaps deliberately so, by those in the know.
