How to start a game

There are four ways to start a game on SchemingMind:

• Challenge a player (or have another player challenge you),
• enter a Mini-Tournament,
• join a Pyramid,
• participate in a Team match.

You are, of course, free to mix all these methods. Also, in correspondence chess, it is normal to both start and play many games at the same time.

Whichever method you choose, you should pay attention to these game parameters before starting the game or games:

• The time control decides how fast (or slow) the game will be, so suit it to your own preferred pace!
• Ensure that you play your intended type of the game, whether you prefer Standard Chess or a chess variant.
