In case you are no longer able to play on SchemingMind, please do the following:
- Set your Challenge Preferences to zero, so that nobody can start any new games against you.
- Finish your current games (this is a common courtesy to your opponents, some of whom will have spent many hours on the games). If you genuinely can't finish the games then you should resign or offer draws.
- Don't log onto the site; your account will be automatically marked as inactive after three months.
- While it is not strictly necessary, it may also make sense to leave the teams and pyramids you joined.
There is no explicit Delete Account option. Once the account stays inactive it behaves almost as if it were deleted, in particular it is not located by player searches, it is not shown on rating lists etc.
If you wish to have any personally identifiable information removed from the database, message Austin - both your true name (if given), and your email address, may be removed. But please perform the actions mentioned above first.
Your games will not be removed, neither will any private messages or forum posts you have made. The games are also part of another player's record; similarly private messages, and forum posts are contributions to the community.
As per the site terms and conditions, refunds for paying members are discretionary and are not offered by default.
Finally, feel welcome to come back once you are able to play again. In such case, please reuse your former account instead of creating the new one.
