Challenge Preferences
Probably the most frequent request we receive through the helpdesk concerns challenge preferences. Your challenge preferences only affect who can challenge you to a friendly game.
- They do not prevent you from challenging anyone else.
- They do not prevent you from being allocated new games in tournaments.
- They do not prevent you from being allocated games in team events (see below).
My team captain can't allocate me to a board
Each team member can set their availability separately for each team (this is completely separate from your challenge preferences); to set availability, please visit the team homepage, then select "My Availability" and enter the time controls and chess variants you are willing to play for this team. Please note that the team captain will be able to allocate any number of games matching this setting.
