Biography
Hello! I joined SM so I could fine tune my opening repertoire and just generally have a nice time playing with you guys.
I prefer to play classically rather than hyper-modern.
My favorite opening move after switching for years between both the sound and irregular is 1 P-K4.
I'm comfortable in the Open Sicilians although I have on occasion been known to spit out an Alapin or a Rossolimo.
My main weapon against 1...E5 is and always will be the Ruy Lopez, but for now I've switched back to the Italian to re-root myself in yet again, the classics.
Speaking of classics I just adore to play the classical French and classical Caro-Kann although it's never that easy sometimes - there's always wrenches thrown into the mix! -cough- Winawer -cough- Steinitz, ahem, respectively.
Last but not least is I guess the Austrian Attack against the Pirc!
As black I play E5 against E4. It's the richest opening!
Against D4 I'm more or less stuck playing the Franco-Indian just to get a chance to visit my old French friend on the Black side.
Against Nf3 I play the Sicilian Invitation!
Against the English I play the Anglo-Indian.
Phew!
